Abstract
Focusing on AI impact assessments and their importance for ensuring the respect of principles such as transparency, nondiscrimination, and accountability by public administrations using AI systems, this contribution briefly compares how the Framework Convention and the AI Act interpret and regulate these instruments. After examining the relevant provisions — namely Art. 16 of the Framework Convention and Art. 27 of the AI Act — the possible global consequences arising from different degrees of fundamental rights’ protection will be addressed.
